Your 33 Black Angels – Songs From The Near Bleak Future (2010)

Songs From The Near Bleak Future is available on 180 gram vinyl, the initial pressing limited to a run of 1000 copies.
This is the 4th album from the Brooklyn-based outfit but first with us here at Optical Sounds. A few years ago, the band caught fire when David Fricke of Rolling Stone called them a "treasure" after picking up copies in a local New York City record store.
Together for 5+ years and with extensive North American and European tours under their belt, Y33BA merged with Toronto when both band and scene converged at The Spiderhouse in Austin, TX during one of many “BBQ circuit” shows in 2009. A mutual admiration for the music became immediately apparent, partying followed and the rest is history.
Songs From The Near Bleak Future consists of 11 tracks that aren’t as definitively “psychedelic” as they are just straight up good rock and roll. To this day, the album is a fixture at Optical Sounds headquarters.
